Fungal Culture Screen Check provides the necessary tool to assist in identifying, as well as providing concentration levels of fungi by using a swab culture technique (Bio-Vial).
Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab), which is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Society-Laboratory Accreditation Program (AIHA-LAP, LLC), will provide a final report. Concentration levels of fungi are reported in Colony Forming Units (CFU), and are compared to what is considered to be normal.
Common symptoms of exposure to high fungal levels include nasal and sinus irritation or congestion, dry hacking cough, wheezing, skin rashes, burning, watery or reddened eyes, shortness of breath, and headaches, among other possible ailments.
Once EDLab receives the Bio-Vial sample for analysis, your lab report will be generated and
emailed within 10-14 days.
